Become a Rioter

What is a Rioter?
A rioter is a community member, student, artist, or anyone or thing in between who is committed to advancing environmental equity in their local communities! You can be any age, color, ethnicity, or educational background. As long as you are committed, responsible, and passionate about grassroots community support, you are welcome!

How does this process work?
The process begins with you completing our inquiry form below and telling us a little bit more about you. Once the form is received, we will begin reviewing the information provided. During this review time, we will be working on placing you on a Committee. All members who join the riot during this time will be general body members, however, there will be opportunity in the future to gain a more permanent role. From there, we will begin creating your onboarding experience, which will happen the second week of March.

What are the committees I can choose from?

Environmental Committee:
Support the implementation of environmental action events, community organizing, and research. This includes hosting clean-ups/drain cleanings, community garden workdays, and maintaining relationships with local residents.

Marketing Committee:
Support the creation and logistics of all marketing and outreach needs of Midnight Riot. This includes creative art sales, social media posts/ flyers, social media management, newsletters, content calendar, and website management.

Storytelling Committee:
Support the implementation and development of storytelling and art initiatives. This includes planning/hosting/facilitating Media Clubs, Art Workshops, Zines, Storytelling networking, and Artvism.

Midnight Riot is a non-hierarchal organization that prioritizes an equitable balance across the team.
