reaching Naptown

our Target Areas

Currently, the Naptown Riot focuses predominantly on the east and west side’s of Indianapolis including neighborhoods like Haughville, Tuxedo Park, and the Far Eastside.

In 2022, Indianapolis comprised a population of almost 40% Black and Brown folks with almost 16% of people living in poverty. Many of those living in poverty are concentrated within a small number of neighborhoods. Through research, like this report from the Economic Innovation Program, we found a range of communities that were clearly being ignored by those in power in Indianapolis.

By calling upon a diverse volunteer base forged from partnerships with local schools, Midnight Riot began  facilitating volunteer cleanups in these target zones. In 2024, we’ve organized volunteer events in Dubarry Park, Brookside Park, Tarkington Park, Tuxedo Park, and more. Help Midnight Riot advance sustainability practices through clean-up initiatives and urban forestry initiatives, and get involved today!
